Founded in 1995 in Hamburg, Germany, BUCH CONTACT has evolved from a one-person company to a well-respected agency for public relations with offices in Berlin and Freiburg. The team around the two managing directors Murielle Rousseau and Ulrike Plessow is equipped with knowledge in the fields of arts and books, the publishing industry, public relations and the media industry. Our staff speaks German, English, French, Italian and Spanish. Both of our directors are bilingual: Murielle Rousseau is a native speaker of French and German and Ulrike Plessow speaks German and English fluently.
Our clients are publishers, authors, media, cultural institutions such as international, national or regional book fairs, museums, and literary prizes. Our job is to conciliate between our customers and the public / the market respectively. From classical press work (print and online), different kinds of events (press conferences, book presentations, book launches, lecture tours, press trips, book-signings, etc.) to extraordinary PR solutions, we make sure your products and topics are seen in the right places at the right time. Further more we will create all kinds of texts that you may ask for (newsletters, press releases, press statements or information, press kits, biographies, testimonials etc.). We are internationally active and experienced in working with customers from all over the world. Having worked for international events such as the London Book Fair, the Paris and Beijing Cookbook Fair and the Gourmand Cookbook Awards our experience and attention to detail runs through all levels of the publishing industry.
